Measuring in PRISM Units

📚 What You'll Learn

  • How to use a PRISM ruler to measure length
  • Understanding non-standard units of measurement
  • Recording measurements accurately
  • Comparing lengths using consistent units

In this video, we're going to learn how to measure using PRISM units.

A PRISM unit is a special unit of measurement we use in our math activities. Each mark on the PRISM ruler represents one PRISM unit.

To measure an object, line up one end with the zero mark on your ruler. Then look at where the other end lines up. That number tells you the length in PRISM units.

Remember to keep your ruler straight and make sure you're starting from zero. This will help you get accurate measurements every time.

Now you're ready to start measuring in PRISM units!
