In this video, we're going to learn how to measure area by tiling.
Area is the amount of space inside a shape. To measure area, we can cover the shape with unit squares and count how many fit inside.
Each unit square is one square unit of area. When we tile a shape completely with no gaps or overlaps, we can count the squares to find the total area.
This is why area is measured in square units - because we're counting squares!
