Money & Building Costs
📚 What You'll Learn
- Skip counting to calculate totals quickly
- Connecting multiplication to money problems
- Calculating costs for building materials
- Real-world applications of multiplication
In this video, we're going to learn about money and building costs!
When you're building something, you need to figure out how much materials will cost. This is a perfect time to use skip counting and multiplication.
If each tile costs $3 and you need 8 tiles, you can skip count by 3s: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24. Or you can multiply: 3 × 8 = $24.
This is how builders, architects, and contractors figure out costs for real projects!
Now you're ready to calculate building costs on your own.
